This Privacy Policy explains how NousPDF handles information on your device and what limited data may be processed by third parties when advertising is shown. This policy applies specifically to NousPDF and prevails over any general privacy policy on aiinnovators.pro to the extent of any conflict.

Your PDF files, chat history, AI outputs, embeddings, and handwriting OCR results stay on your device.
The AI model runs entirely on-device. No prompt, page content, or AI reply is sent to an AI server.
The only outbound network activity initiated by the app is a one-time model download and advertising requests through Google AdMob.
We ask for consent where required for personalised advertising and tracking.
We do not use Firebase, Google Analytics, Crashlytics, Sentry, Mixpanel, or similar analytics SDKs.

1. Summary

NousPDF is designed to keep your documents and AI interactions local to your device. We do not upload, store, or access your PDF files, chat history, AI responses, semantic search embeddings, or OCR results.

2. Data Processed Locally on Your Device

The following information is created, stored, and processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to us:

We do not collect, upload, transmit, or access any of the data listed above.

3. Network Requests Made by NousPDF

3.1 One-Time AI Model Download

When you first enable AI features such as AI Chat or semantic search, NousPDF may download the required local AI model files, such as a GGUF language model and an ONNX embedding model.

When: only when you choose to enable AI features, or when you re-download them from settings.
Source: Hugging Face CDN, including domains such as huggingface.co and cdn-lfs.huggingface.co.
What third parties may see: standard request metadata such as IP address, request time, and device user agent.
What we receive: nothing. The download occurs directly between your device and the file host.

3.2 Connectivity Check

The app may use a connectivity helper library to determine whether your device has network access before attempting a download. This check does not itself send your files or document content anywhere.

No other network calls are required for core document features such as PDF viewing, editing, merging, converting, compressing, AI chat, summarisation, semantic search, or handwriting OCR.

4. Third-Party Advertising — Google AdMob

NousPDF uses Google AdMob to display banner, interstitial, or native ads. Google AdMob is a third-party SDK provided by Google.

4.1 Information AdMob May Process

Advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Device and app signals such as device model, iOS version, app language, screen size, and approximate location inferred from IP address.
Ad interaction data such as impressions, clicks, and attribution events.
IP address for security, fraud prevention, approximate geography, and ad delivery purposes.

4.2 Consent

For users in applicable regions such as the EU or UK, the app may show a Google UMP consent form to manage ad consent choices.
On iOS, the app may show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before allowing personalised advertising.
If you decline tracking, NousPDF will continue to function, and only non-personalised ads may be shown.

4.3 Google Policies

Google acts as an independent controller for advertising-related data it processes through AdMob. You can review Google's policies here:

We do not receive your personal profile from AdMob. We may only receive aggregated reporting such as earnings, impressions, or performance summaries.

5. Permissions We Request

NousPDF does not request access to your location, microphone, contacts, calendar, reminders, health data, Bluetooth, or local network.

6. Legal Bases for Processing

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the following legal bases may be relied upon:

7. Data Retention

On-device content: retained until you delete it, clear it in the app, or remove the app from your device.
Developer-side retention: we do not store your PDF files, AI chat content, OCR results, or embeddings on our servers.
AdMob retention: advertising-related retention is governed by Google's own policies.

8. International Transfers

NousPDF's main features operate locally on your device. However, third parties involved in model hosting or advertising, such as Hugging Face and Google, may process requests through global infrastructure and may transfer data internationally in accordance with their own legal mechanisms.

9. Children's Privacy

NousPDF is not intended to knowingly collect personal data from children at the developer level. We do not create child profiles and do not knowingly receive children's document content because the app's main content processing occurs locally on-device.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, erase, restrict, object to, or withdraw consent for certain data processing activities.

You can delete your on-device content directly within the app or by uninstalling the app.
You can manage tracking preferences from iOS settings and available in-app privacy choices.

11. Security

We rely on platform-level iOS protections and encrypted network connections where applicable. Because we do not store your documents or AI chats on our own backend, there is no developer-controlled server database containing your private files or chat content.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time if the app's features, legal requirements, or third-party services change. The updated version will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
